About Me

Thejas here. I'm in my third year at Alva's Institute of Engineering and Technology and currently pursuing a degree in Data Science. I have a keen interest in how data can be utilized to make better decisions, eliminate problems, and enhance daily activities.

My interests were developed further by working on academic projects such as a Heart Disease Diagnosis System and a Placement Management System with OCR and chatbot functionalities. I appreciate collaborating on projects as it propels my learning.

I am dedicated to developing my knowledge, but I also relish a good trek as well as traveling. In addition to these interests, I also enjoy staying active whether that’s playing or watching sports.

My Projects

A system for departments to manage placement drives, monitor student progress, and assist students via a chatbot. Includes OCR integration to scan and auto-upload academic scores.

Enables administrators to manage placement drives, track student performance, and view overall progress.
Integrated a chatbot to assist students with common queries regarding companies, drives, and eligibility.

Tech: Python, Firebase, Chatbot API, OCR (Tesseract)

ML model to predict heart disease risk using clinical data and classification algorithms. Visualized health indicators and evaluated model performance using accuracy and ROC-AUC.

Trained multiple classification models (Logistic Regression, Random Forest, etc.) using a labeled dataset.
Performed data preprocessing, feature selection, and visual exploration to identify key health indicators.
